But your robbery happened during the middle of the day, and in plain view of witnesses and cameras. As you failed to adequately conceal your identity during this brazen act, your mugshots are now all over the media. With nowhere else to go, you’ve turned to a mutual old friend, Ricky Rumscroft, for assistance to help you lay low. Ricky, ever the nerdy genius, has his own solution to the problem.
“I’ve just built a transmogrifier,” he says matter-of-factly, “for a cut of the stolen money, I’ll transform you guys into chickens and you can go live on my uncle’s farm in Ohio until this all blows over. My uncle already has a sizable flock, what’s three more chickens?”
It sounds absurd, but you were just foolish enough to rob a bank without a disguise so you are pretty desperate. Likewise, you’re convinced you’ve hidden the stolen loot well so it should be safe until you return. You agree to the transformation with the expectation Ricky will turn you back to human once the search has died down.
The transformation is a success; now you’re a chicken. Ricky, who can understand you due to a scientifically engineered Chicken-to-English hearing aid he wears, has put you in a box and is driving you to his uncle’s farm.
