It had been a tough day at work or school…all you, the player, wanted to do was go home and crash. Just let your brain take a break and play the video games of you preference.
Your console said there was an update available. You said ok, and the game started to download. Then there was a flash of light, which was quickly replaced by an inky blackness. You slowly come to…apparently you were knocked out. You are in a white cylindrical chamber, with gray tile ceiling and floors.
The only thing in the room is a mirror, which you discover upon turning around. You also discover that you no longer appear as yourself…you’re a…video game character? The floor suddenly opens up underneath you, and a bright light fills your vision.
Pixelated is kind of a combination of the concepts of Wreck-it Ralf, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and Cyberchase. I personally thought it would be a great idea to have the ability to play as one of your favorite video game characters in a storium game, instead of basing a made up character on them.
Players in this game will “play” through a series of worlds (levels), with a shop between each world, eventually taking on the final boss, and escaping back to the real world. It’s up to the players to find out how they were transported into the game. However…there’s a catch. You have three respawn cards, which means, if you don’t buy more respawns, you can die, and be eliminated from the story (however you are more than welcome to stick around and give me and the players input).

A few rules:
1) You must choose the premade subplot. Please. :)
2) You may choose a character from a franchise that’s not listed, but it must be a video game character in origin. Wolverine from X-Men has been in a video game, but he is not a game character in origin.
3) Your character is his own person, not the guy who got sucked in. The character is self aware according to his/her own universe. The only thing different, is that he/she knows they’re in the wrong place, and they have to get out, and back to their world.
So say I was Master Chief from Halo, I’d wake up in level one with everyone else, with the notion that I have to finish the game, so I can get back to my world/dimension. I have no idea that I’m…me. If that makes any sense. Hopefully it does. :)
4) Limit the swearing pls.
5) the most generic rule: have fun!
