The creatures in the woodland glade exist in the web of life. Mostly peaceful and content, there are dangers that come from the forest. They face threats from the air and from the ground: cats, birds of prey, foxes and more.
But life is more or less normal in the glade, until the day a white rabbit hops into their midst. He tells a story of terrible beings that came into his clearing and took away all the animals living there. And the little white rabbit says that the threat is coming this way.
OOC information:
You may feel free to make up any cards you like. I am not averse to having predators with the group, but there needs to be a really good reason they are there (and they won’t eat any of the rest of the characters).
This will be written in third person, past tense.
In real life I’m an English teacher, so I’m a stickler for correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Partially based on Terrible Things by Eve Bunting and Watership Down by Richard Adams.
Themes explored will be be persecution (Terrible Things is an allegory for the Holocaust, so bear that in mind), the Hero’s Journey, teamwork, loss of home and making communities. Also, quite likely, some environmental themes.
