One of the most polarizing figures in Emerald City is Maximillian Mars. Now a successful industrialist and businessman, Mars was once a dangerous supercriminal known worldwide as one of the smartest and most dangerous people alive. In recent years, Mars claims to have gone legit, and his charitable and business dealings seem to support this. However, some people are slow to trust the former villain. What’s more, some current villains see Mars as a sell out whose new direction shows that he’s no longer got the skills and determination that once made him so deadly.
Now that Emerald City is slowly gaining a larger superhuman presence, Mars is a wild card. Will he try to direct and aid these new heroes, providing funding, insight, and support? Or will he become an obstruction — or even fall back into villainy? Current trends seem to suggest the former, but not everyone is convinced that Mars will remain reformed forever.
