Aliens have been infiltrating Earth for at least the last three years. They are becoming increasingly bold in their attacks, world governments are unable to respond effectively, and the populace are starting to panic.
This is where S-COM enters the picture. The Secret COMbat Unit is a classified international project consisting of scientists, engineers, and highly trained soldiers in small fortified bunkers scattered across the planet, to respond to the attacks by the BEMs (the Bug Eyed Monsters) and take back the initiative.
Five squads defend the Earth. Alpha Squad is filled with the glory-boys. They get the big missions and the best equipment. Beta, Delta, and Gamma are the reliable backup to Alpha, taking on the smaller missions, handling incursions while Alpha is busy, and providing support when Alpha needs help. Finally, there’s Ocelot Squad, which is where the idiots nobody wants to spend the political capital to fire are dumped.
