The battles between superheroes and supervillains have been massively destructive and cost countless lives over the past decades. But all that changed 3 years ago.
Dr. Ally Cohen was a world-class mathematician that brought Cliodynamics into the forefront of crime-fighting. Spending several years as the crimefighter “e” She develped a process by which superheroes working around the world and beyond coud maximize their efforts in their battles against evil.
Since the discovery of her formulae to detect and decimate crime 3 years ago, e has dedicated much of her time to improving her work and making it possible to stop crime with minimal colateral damage, predict where villains will strike, and even pinpoint weaknesses of villains even before they enter the arena of evildoing for the first time.
Many a villain has found themselves having their weaknesses exploited on their first occurrence.
e’s efforts have put all major supervillains on the ropes for the past 3 years and they are losing ground every day. All superheroes are given access to the computer network that provides information from e’s work.
Now it is only a matter of time before numbers of hereoes, guided by e’s numbers, ends the threat of some of the last supervillains remaining on Earth.
but some distrust the mathematical program despite all the good that has come from it. Most do not have the knowledge to understand it to check its validity, and on top of that, numbers do not lie, but they also do not care and some fear that the program and farmulae may not be so beneficial in the future.
=======
This story is a typical generic superhero adventure with a strong sense of sci-fi. There will be some discussion in the story of fate versus self-determination and characters might have to wrestle with that.
This game draws a bit of loose inspiration from Leo Tolstoy’s “War and Peace,” but not enough that any knowledge of the book is necessary, or even helpful.
