New Castillo is a city built inside and then around an old Spanish Presidio.
Five years ago those in the know banned together against the advice of their elders, as well as their own better judgement, to wipe out a para-native death cult. Five years ago monsters, mystics, and hunters alike took some time off of their land disputes and assassination campaigns to clear the city of the larger threat. The toll was significant, some blaming the high mortality on such strange bedfellows. Others persist that they would have been decimated on their own. Though in the past five years of business as usual, those voices have all but faded.
Now the dead stir once again.
