Nine friends. Nine lives. Nine threads all woven together to form the beautiful tapestry that is life. But are those threads each beautiful in their own right? Or do they draw their strength from the tapestry? Where does each thread begin and where does it end?
This is an experimental game that is going to be more writing exercise than traditional Storium game. With the exception of one player, each player will control two characters. Throughout the game, you’ll be making new characters on a regular basis to replace the old ones. Each chapter will consist of a series of vignettes about your characters, how they grow up, who they are, how they all meet each other, how they fall in love and become friends, and how they die. Each chapter will take place during a different time period. The only requirements for your characters is that they will all become close friends at some point in their lives and the lone player’s character will be involved romantically with at least one other character.
If you know what this is referencing, please don’t spoil the story for everyone.
For your application, apply as a player. Tell me why you’re interested in the game and what kind of characters you usually make, if you have a “type” or preference. Feel free to tell me in the bio or in the notes if there’s something you want to actively avoid as part of the story. Keep in mind, we’ll be exploring life, love and death throughout history, so while I won’t be intentionally exploring troublesome periods of history, they may come up in the course of the story. I promise to do my best as a narrator to make sure they’re handled in the best way possible.
