In an Village a group of travelers/adventures decided to have a party in a tavern for one of the travelers birthday but a mage as a quest for these travelers/adventures.The party is hired by the local Mage Guild to find and capture (and/or kill) a renegade wizard who is breaking Guild laws (selling magic items to criminals, assassinating the previous Guild Master, attempting to assassinate the current Guild Master, etc.). Local law enforcement is not involved because the Guild likes to solve its problems internally. One of travelers/adventures was close to rengade wizard when your oc finds a mark of the wizard on his wrist because they use to be lovers.
