The relationship between the Royal Academy for Creature Habilitation (known colloquially as the Monster Academy) and the city in which it sits has always been tense. The Church of the Holy Flame — the most popular religion in the city — teaches that monsters are evil through and through, with no prayer for redemption. With that kind of sentiment rife throughout the city, it doesn’t take much more than a spark to set the followers of the Holy Flame marching on the Monster Academy.
