There are points in the universe where the normal laws of reality don’t apply. The abandoned car wash, the alleyway behind the club, the coffee shop at the corner of Church and Grant Street.
The magically-inclined (Fair-Folk, werewolves, necromancers, the occasional high human, etc.) have learned to use these holes to pass through boundaries into the unknown, where some never come back or skin stealers replace them. Or they just break into Disneyland. Depends on the person.
Owners (or so they claim) of these ports guard them fiercely. Many don’t dare to venture into them.
You’ve been given an amazing opportunity. The possibility of changing your world. Of leaving behind your guilt or boredom for something unexpected.
