The town of Foxdale, Kansas is little more than a blip on a map. Population 500, the farming community thrives largely on gossip. But there are some things people just don’t talk about.
The way 16 year old Millie Andrews pitched herself off the gymnasium roof in 1972.
The way way the 14 year old Hartford twins disappeared in 1984.
How 17 year old Marilyn Corneliusen was found dead in her home, bloody and battered, in 1993.
Or, in 2001, how the bus bearing the state football team ran off the road, killing half the players and the head coach. No one talks about how the driver insisted that the wheel seemed to have a mind of its own.
Something is amiss in the town of Foxdale, something no one talks about. The town has gone undisturbed for nearly twenty years. It’s 2018 and this decade still hasn’t seen a tragedy. Is it really just chance, the way things happen in this town? Or is there something else stirring on the plains?
