[4-7 Players]
In 2149, when a science team at the far reaches of the Milky Way Galaxy made the startling discovery that Charon, Pluto’s moon, was in fact an enormous, ancient piece of highly advanced technology, everything changed for the human race. The implications were astounding and terrifying at once: there really were other life forms out there. And they were far, far smarter than we were.
Now, in the year 2157, ten months after the 3-month battle called the First Contact War and the same year that future legend Commander Shepard was born, the human race is thriving in a new era of exploration, technology and industry. And you serve aboard the SSV New Delhi, the famous ship that first took legendary space hero Admiral Grissom beyond the Charon relay and into the worlds beyond. These days you mostly run patrol missions and chart new worlds for human interstellar cartographers, occasionally having cultural meetings with the other Citadel races you come across.
But lately, something has been wrong on the New Delhi. The crew seems quieter, the hallways more tense. Conversations that were once lively and chipper are often now in hushed tones or abruptly ended. There’s a nervous atmosphere that seems to have only begun a month ago. And you’re not sure why. But one thing is for sure: you’re about to find out. And you’ll soon discover it’s just the tip of the iceberg.
[My first narrated game, so it’ll be a learning experience! Bear with me if I make any mistakes with canon or gameplay! I’ll try to be as helpful yet hands-off as I can, let the creativity flow. Feel free to go wild with your character creation, with two exceptions:
1) Because this takes place in the early years of Alliance space exploration, and we don’t trust the alien races much yet, there certainly wouldn’t be a varied species crew on humanity’s most famous flagship. I’ll only allow three aliens to be on the crew: Commando, Diplomat and Trader (with obvious racial restrictions… Batarians for example would never be on a human ship due to their animosity towards the Alliance, and Thorians are considered extinct until Shepard finds one in ME1). If no one plays those three natures, please assume there are no aliens whatsoever aboard the New Delhi.
2) Please use the available Natures and don’t create new ones/new aliens. I have specific plotting plans and I’m still new to Storium so I unfortunately won’t accept custom species or natures.]
