In the throes of a the Cold War, the east and west have more “superpowers” to worry about than just the USA and the USSR. Men and women endowed with special powers, preternatural abilities, and plain old talent fight to maintain the balance of power and stave off the looming spectre of nuclear annihilation.
With each of the worlds powers losing a precious nuclear submarine, the United Nations Metahuman Commission and the Soviet Committee for Special Security send an empowered investigator to a remote Pacific island to find their lost vessels, and get to the bottom of their disappearance. But is this simply cold war subterfuge, or something far more dangerous?
