Magic Users Guarding Innocent Civilians (Because apparently M.A.G.I.C. was already Trademarked)
A superhero team game with a twist! Set in a bustling urban city centre during the modern day; you have been selected as a part of a small group of wizards (still apprenticing in the arcane arts) lead by a mentor to fight crime, aid during emergencies, and deal with rampant monsters.
As a part of the recruitment process, you are all sharing quarters in a repurposed loft apartment in the downtown core. Your characters will be in shared quarters with separate bedrooms (similar to college dorms); so living together, arguing over bathroom times, dealing with kitchen disasters and whatnot is just as much a part of the game as fighting the bad guys.
If there is enough team synergy, you may even be assigned to more dangerous missions as an elite task force. However, you are all still learning how to properly harness your powers… not to mention learning what it means to work as a team.
Part light-hearted comedy, slice of life, and fantasy, crime-fighting action.
Magic in this world is hereditary, though the level of ‘mana’ (magic wielding potential) in their blood. This amount varies from person to person; those who have higher levels of mana are put through additional courses of education to ensure the safe use of magic. Those who possess interest in wielding their magic to a higher degree can apply to post-secondary wizarding colleges, and specialize into chosen fields of magic.
As part of an agreement with law enforcement, a small number of all-wizard squads can be selected from these colleges and trained to handle cases that non-magic police forces cannot. These squads, while considered a special forces unit, are not above the law and are called in only when deemed necessary…
