Guiding travellers through the treacherous swamps left in the wake of the Demon’s Demise five-hundred years ago, the Waylight Beacon is a crucial part of the trade network that keeps the Sixteen Cities alive.
Lately, however, the main artery of trade that runs through the swamps has been severed. The beacon extinguished. Dark rumours about the reasons for this circulate amongst the city-dwellers. What disaster has befallen the House of Keepers? Has the beacon been extinguished by accident - or are there sinister forces at work?
You are a group assembled from the cities’ most adventurous (and in some cases, possibly, disposable) kind, entrusted with the dangerous task of discovering the reason for the sudden dying of the light. Gathering at a tavern right at the northern passage into the swamps, you prepare for a task that could be your last - or your most magnificent yet.
This is just a small, very straightforward and somewhat casual fantasy adventure story. I hope to find a laid-back but motivated group of players who stay on board for the entire story.
I do not intend for this game to reach literary brilliance, just for it to be a good story with fun characters and interesting conflict, though of course a basic level of grammar and proper spelling should be a given :)
