It is the middle of World War I in France in German-controlled Lille. Two young people apply to work at a nice restaurant that is popular with German officers, Les Trois Soeurs.
The owner of the restaurant is thought to be a filthy collaborator. He hires attractive young people who do not speak a word of German to wait tables so that the German officers can have some privacy. The job wouldn’t be a popular one, but for the fact that it affords its workers extra food and supply rations and passes to be out late, which are hard to come by during the war.
The two young people applying for the job appear to be ordinary French citizens, eager for some extra food, but really they are spies, fluent in German and recruited by the British army. Can they secure the job, remain undiscovered, and use it to pass along valuable information to their network that might help win the war?
