After months of interviews and testing, the crew of New Dawn has been announced, and you made the cut! Everyone has gathered at Mars Base to begin training. Choosing a crew that is so young has been controversial, although clearly, since one of their tasks will be to help populate the new colony, the longer they are able to reproduce, the better. Meanwhile the Kelly government, which appropriated funds for the mission, has been voted out of power. As economies falter throughout the solar system, a more fiscally conservative Council of Ten has been elected. There have been calls to delay and cut back on the mission.
