A sharp yowl broke the night. A dirty tabby lifted his head out of the garbage can he was currently raiding, ears perked. In a moment another cry broke the silence. The tabby lifted his head and let out his own yowl that echoed through the alleyway. Soon the calls of the cats filled the streets; humans turned on their lights and looked out the windows. People were irritated, but the cats were serious. They began making their way towards the original source of the cry. Soon the alleyway was crowded with cats of all different shapes and sizes. Over them stood an older cat, blind in one eye with dark fur. “My fellow strays and… Others,” he said, gazing over at a few housecats with his good eye. “We have a terrible travesty on our hands” He nodded at an unseen cat behind him. There was some rustling then a long elegant female cat made her way out, coaxing a small puppy into the light. He whimpered sleepily and let out a long yawn. Whispers of unease spread through the crowd. Who was this puppy? Why was he on cat territory? The old cat sighed “Found by our spies deep in our territory. We found he is the “alpha dog’s” son” As the old cat finished yowls of disbelief and anger ran through the ranks of cats; if the pup stayed there might be an all-out war, everyone knew the dogs ruled west NY, and cats held east NY. If a pup was on their territory it might well be a challenge. and if it isn’t, And the pup had just wandered in, that might mean that the alpha dog would think they had kidnapped his pup. Either way war would be imminent, “I believe, that war can be averted. If we can bring this… Pup” He spit out the last word like it was poison in his mouth, “Back to his home, without alerting the dogs that we have him.” The female cat padded up to him and whispered something in his ear, and quickly backed away. “ahem, erm. HER, without alerting the dogs we have HER. My bad” He shook off his embarrassment and regained his composure. “Now, I need a set of volunteers, anywhere from four to seven will do. You should be able to take the mission at least somewhat seriously” He said, chipping away at the fourth wall.
This is an almost silly game. ALMOST. You should keep it semi serious, its best if you know how to do both simultaneously. As the king of breaking the fourth wall said, four to seven players. Feel free to create your own subplots strengths weaknesses and natures. Might as well.
Anyways, the most important thing here is for y’all to enjoy yourselves.
