A dig site in the Appalachian mountains uncovered something unnatural. From that epicenter an evil has awakened and it is spreading. Otherworldly aberrations stalk the site now and the government has evacuated the nearby town.
Without any other options the government reaches out to self proclaimed “paranormal” experts to try and shed some light on the situation.
Most of the groups who have gone in before now have either gone missing or have returned “different”. These individuals are kept in quarantine.
WORDS FROM THE NARRATOR:
This is a story influenced by some of my favorite authors as of late. I love horror novels with complex creatures that test the limits of one’s imagination and cause boundless speculation. I am also a fan of not everyone making it out alive or intact. So be warned.
I am a fan of creatures with complex relationships within their bestiary, but with this story I am stripping things down. There is a rhyme to the reasons, but the players must be what their characters are supposed to be: investigators.
This game will begin shortly. I am finalizing the introduction and first scene now, but I have just had a lot of work thrown in my lap. Give me a day to resolve things on my end and we will get the show on the road.
