So, there is you, what ever it is you may be doing. Sitting on a rock? Making love to your secret lover? Sponge bathing your patient? Drawing the same series of stones again and again?
We never truly look at the world in all its suffering anchoring realism. It isn’t that you or I don’t see it. I see it every damn day; from yellow cabs and red lights to swaying green trees and whales gasping a plunging lungful of crisp pacific air, I see it. You see it.
You’re the pragmatic sort, I bet. Always clutching to your perfect sense of fucking reality. What if I told you it was a pile of hot steaming bullshit, garbage, or what ever the fuck you want it to be. You couldn’t at a moments notice tell me how this is all connected, why this is all seemingly unimportant, or why a gazelle chose to eat a particular blade of grass over another one. You can’t tell me. I fucking know you can’t.
Life is just that to us now. Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat.
What if I told you there was a way? You know, a way to connect all the fucking dots. I could give you existence, complete with a damn red bow. Would you come with me if I could? Give your life some damn meaning?
We have that meaning. We have it in us already, that ability to pull that black pit from out of your chest. You’ll just have to trust me.
If you found some reason or some balls out courage, be here, at this pay phone at 3:15 PM. Someone will give your next instruction.
What is missing in your life?
Setting: February in Portland Oregon and from there. The real geography matters almost exactly and imprecisely zilch. . Just some key things and some plotting. Nothing to see here folks.
Possible players 1 maybe 2.
There will be heavy narrator intervention. Narrator will build a catalog of NPCs.
It is going to be sci-fi/fantasy/slipstream. (Mostly slipstream). I do intend on this being mind bendy. Also, this will most definite not be safe for work.
Your character must be an every day kind of person. Hard times, good times what ever, but they have to be empty on the inside, or at least they feel that way. Please feel free to create.
