Time isn’t linear.
It doesn’t go in one straight line, on and on into infinity. No, it’s a jumble of things- a bunch of lines all tangled together in a matted mess that no one can undo. You can’t find the start nor the end of it. Most of the time, though, you remain on one part of it moving forward.
Always forward. Never backward.
Or so it stands most of the time. There are exceptions- folktales and legends say that sometimes, people can break free. That somehow, in a twist of fate, people can be shot to a different point in time. Forced to live somewhere they’d only read about in stories or history books, a transplant in a foreign time.
Loosely based off of the book/TV series Outlander, in the way that some of the characters in this story will be finding themselves in a time in history to which they do not belong.
In a Foreign Time works to bring together a diverse cast of characters amidst the backdrop of the American Revolutionary War. Dependent upon the success of this story, there may be other iterations of it in different eras.
