It’s a beautiful day in Vancouver, Canada. The sun is out for once with no sign of rain. You’re in Stanley Park, the large park located north of downtown, when you notice some strange happenings. First, there seems to be a lot more traffic moving through Stanley Park than usual. Second, people around you are beginning to move with urgency. Third, there seems to be a lot more sirens than usual coming from the city. You stand up to get a better look at the city. Is that smoke?
You overhear a conversation; a girl is on her cellphone, tears on her face, shrieking at someone on the other line. Something is said about people savagely attacking each other. People who should be dead simply weren’t. Panic was setting in.
Your brain brings up a newscast you watched only yesterday. There had been outbreaks of some weird new disease occurring rapidly all throughout the world. It caused severe aggression and fever. A friend of yours had joked about zombies but that couldn’t be true, could it?
What do you do next?
OOC: This is my very first time narrating so bear with me! I’m looking forward to playing around with this one and I hope you are as well. I plan on leaving a lot of the decisions open you guys and building the world around them. For example, will you guys head for the country? Or try to catch a ferry to an island? Feel free to discuss this in the commentary as well.
As for character creation, I’ve thrown together a couple example natures but I highly encourage you to create your own! You can do the same for the strengths/weaknesses if you don’t see one there that covers your character, but choosing from the premade ones is perfectly fine as well. I’m looking for 3-5 people and I’ll be accepting the group I think will work together best. I’ll be keeping the invitations open until I find those characters but it shouldn’t take longer than a couple days.
You will be starting in Stanley Park, though why you are there is up to you. Your characters will be starting in the entrance to the park for the ease of having them near each other. Here is some information on the area:
