All you’ve heard for the last several weeks on the news was about the once in a lifetime chance to see a great comet swing by the outer edges of Earth. Scientists went on record as stating it was possibly the largest to ever come this close to Earth, and that if it had a different trajectory, it could potentially be the thing that wipes out the human race.
Thankfully scientists can be wrong about a lot of things. Unfortunately they were wrong about this comet. As it rounded one of the outer planets in our solar system, it’s course changed. It was now coming straight to Earth. This news was kept from the public until the comet finally entered the atmosphere… and shattered.
It was reported as one of the greatest meteor showers to ever grace this planet. The fragments of the meteor seemed to have an inner shine as they streaked across the night sky. It wasn’t until later the truth of the comet was revealed. Inside of these small fragments, it was like a geode. Full of crystals and colors and warmth.
