Here comes your favourite comedy troupe, the Soda Jerks, in the hottest new film of 1932! Watch their crazy, slapstick antics and try to keep up with their zany, fast-talking gags! You’ll laugh so hard you’ll spit popcorn on the back of the neck of the woman in front of you! Sorry, ma’am!
This game will be in the style of a Marx Brothers movie: a crazy plot held together by slapstick sight-gags and rapid fire, humourous dialogue. Each scene will set up another awkward situation that the cast have gotten mixed up in: they’ll then be challenged to get out of it in one piece, with maybe a few bucks earned or kisses stolen on the side.
Protagonists
Each of the characters gets equal billing in the movie, because this is a Soda Jerks movie and the protagonists are each played by a different member of the Soda Jerks: even if not all the characters are on the same side all the time, there’s always something they can agree on and unite against.
Schticks
Strengths & Weaknesses use the same cards in this story: each character has one or two Schticks they use, because that’s the Schtick of the Soda Jerk who’s playing that part. So you might be have “Fast Talk” as both your Strength and your Weakness, because your character always does that, even though it doesn’t always work well. Your Strength and Weakness can be different though, if there’s one thing your character is good at and one thing they’re not so good at.
Supporting Cast
There are other bit part actors that always appear in the films the Soda Jerks make and these are represented by Subplots: they are the minor characters who pop up as adversaries, romantic interests or merely comic foils for your antics.
