-Pre-crash. The human race spreads into the stars and into thousands of galaxys developing advanced space technology. In an effort to stem over population Frontier class ships are created. They are capable of holding thousands of people in suspended animation with years worth of supplies and equipment. They are launched into deep space to find planets to colonize. A scientists, the most infamous man in the universe, named Victor Skaars. Skaars developed a virus that moved through the communication devices of the Human ships disabling their long range navigation syastems, effectivly stranding fleets of ships in deep space. Genisis, one such Frontier ship, found the most duitable planet to crash into and did so in hopes of survival.
-PC(Post Crash) year 1- After the crash the Survivors named the hostile planet, “Genisis” after the ship that had carried them here. They quickly found that Genisis was a harsh planet full of very dangerous fuana. Becuase of its strange roation and orbit around the galaxys sun the planet experienced stange localized wheath phenominon, must of the planet was desert and extremly hot, whil other parts could drop below zero. Rain very rarly occured so farming would be very difficult. The Genisis survivoirs would have a very hard time.
-PC Year 2- Drilling reveals huge pockets of naturally occuing underground water lakes and streams, farming becomes possible and the city of Tark is founded, named after the capitain of the Genisis.
-PC year 11- Scientists discover a new type of radiation called ‘Nex’ that circulates all over the planet, it’s sorce is unknown, the exposure to it is extremely high and it is unclear what effects it will have on the population of Genisis.
-PC Year 13-THe first Nex child is born, the Radiation creating nw mutated races of humans, some better equipt to hadle the climats, these humanoids are acctually still completely breedable with each other and other races.
-PC Year 42- Genisis begins to send caravans into the dfferent directions in order to found new cities on other wells.
-PC Year 44- The religion of Infinatism is founded by Tali Xeno, she bases the religion on Genisis the planet being a supreme being that called humanity to it. The base premises resemble that of buddhism in the ways of reincation and ghosts that huant the earth. it preaches that we are all part of an energy force that rejuvinates the planet. followers of her begin to set up temples in all the major cities, some devote their lives to the teaching of Xeno and become wandering monks doing the work and speading good nature. they develop a matrial art call ‘Infinate palm’ which is coveted and only used in the defense of they self or others.
-PC Year 50-Rak Mazant, a scientist, discovers a means of converting Nex rediation into energy. This discovery changes the landscape, creating a sustainable fuel for everything from lights and machinery to vehicles. In the folloing years Nex advancements would come fast, but Mazant, obsessed with his own personal power, would develop anther use. Using a strange filter device commonly called an “INtake” He discovers a way to use the human body as a conductor, drawing in Nex so that the personal can dispell it in different ways to alter things around them.
-PC Year 101- The propulation has grown, founding another 7 major cities, the Genisis survivors have which had began as a communist society began to have issues and technology grows and inequility becomes a reality. Everything breaks down into violent choas and the Communisim is replaced by anarchy and rampant crime.
-PC Year 102- a new radical sect of Infinatism springs up calling themself the ‘Pure sect’, they beleive in the same life force pricaple with one very big difference, where the original sect beleives that all people have a place and even the dark hearted ones contribute a balance the pure sect beleives that they are a cancer and that Genisis has choosen them to cut away the evil in society. They design a much more violent for of infinate Palm, called Infinate Fist.
-PC Year 103-The four heads of technogy meet to come up with a solution before the people wipe themselves out. They decide to switch the base ideas behind the society by forming three companys and instuting a universal form of currancy called the Gen.The four great scientists are Rak Mazant discoverer of Nex Radiation and how to use it (Mazant Corp), Rickson Holt the great Gunsmith who created and modified weapons(Holt tech), Teld Kord The man who built the first duster (Kord corp), and Thad Cas the economist who invented the Gen and the idea of the corperate based socieity.
-PC Year 104- THe Templar are formed to restore order and allow corperate society to flourish. They are the most trained and well armed people on the planet and have an absolute idea of justice. -The Templars
—Side note on the Templars—After the riots of 101 it was understood that due process or any kind of court system would not work for Genesis. The four Geniuses came up with the Templars. The finest trained and best equipped warriors and Nex’s in the land would be Judge jury and executioners for the land. They would be beholden to only each other, Their decisions would be law.
There is only ever 20 Templars, each of extreme skill and power(16 level or higher in game terms). When one dies or retires the remaining 19 vote on his or her replacement. each of the 20 can hire any number of ‘agents’ from all walks or life who believe in order above all else. These agents are tasked with caring out the Templar they work for orders and no one else.
Templars are given the facts about any crimes or criminals and render a judgment relatively on the spot, deciding that the accused is innocent(rare) or guilty and what his punishment will be. Punishments range from community services and imprisonment to death. if a death verdict is carried out agents are sent to kill the guilty party.
Templars also decide on corporation matters, land disputes and other such matters. Violation of their decisions cause them to judge on the violator.
-PC year 107- True Freedom is founded After the Templars were created and then took back control of the people there were a certain few that disagreed with the way things played out. It was their assertion that the Templars and the Corporations absolute control over Genesis would corrupt them, that they themselves would become tyrants.
In order to deal with this thought process(and to basically prove them right) The Templar’s labeled these people anarchists and sentenced them to death. Most of them stood no chance and their peaceful protests turned into violent blood baths. Only one survived, Zybao FyreFort.
Zybao had always said, peaceful was not the way to effect change, the attacks more or less proved him right. He formed the Underground known as True Freedom. They are officially labeled as a terrorist Organization by the Templars and the big 3 corporations while some think of them as heroes fighting an underground war against tyranny.
Only time will tell.
-PC Year 160- Population contiues to spread in addition to major cities there is now hundreds of small villages popping up all around Genisis. Violence contiues but it is now controlled compared to the anarchy before. THe Genisis PLanet Racing Circut is started as the first organized sport of Genisis and involes deady races through the worst terrain for Money and fame.
-PC Year 162- It is discovered that humans have been to Genisis before, it was apparently used pre crash as a Smugglers island of source, there are tons of old ruins and caves where Pre-cash items are stored. This prompts a new breed of treasure hunting thrill seeker to appear.
-PC Year 170- After ten years Killball becomes big, a mash up of footnall and hockey the sport is incredibly brutal and beloved by the people of Genisis. The Genisis Killball League is founded.
-PC Year 201-Present Day.
