Mount Olympus, the dwelling place of all gods and goddesses. A peaceful land filled with playful nymphs and bussling deities running about. Everything was as usual today. Zeus was sharpening Keraunos on his throne, Hades was cooking up mischief in the Underworld, Apollo was singing songs to his audience of sirens.
It was just a normal day in Olympus, which is what every day for the gods was. Peaceful, aloof, and repetitive.
Until the mythic Egyptian gods revealed themselves, and declared war on the other deities.
The Greeks have been so oblivious to their existence, the Egyptians were tired of being overlooked and brushed off as nothing more than a fantastical legend. They began talking to humans, gathering faith like wildfire. This divine interference did not go unnoticed, and when the Greek king, Zeus, ordered them to cease the disclosure of their identities, the Pharaoh refused and declared the Greek gods enemies of their kind.
Battles raged on for days, weeks, months. Blood was spilled, and lives were lost in the fray. The rage and hate for each other grew with each passing hour, boiling over and pouring into another clash.
But all hope was not lost.
Deities from both sides turned against the fighting and fled their homelands.
That’s where you are now; a small, makeshift peace meeting between both sides, and some neutrals who have been affected. Their one mission: stop the loss of life, and find a solution to the war.
Or the world they knew would be slaughtered in cold blood.
