In the mountainous region of northern Venus, the Ishtar Mining Company has established a series of mining outposts under the surface of the planet.
Freyja Outpost Five has been in operation for eleven years. Under the oversight of the Company and the Planetary Development and Exploitation Commission, a sixteen-person staff keeps the drills operational and productive. As one of these staff members, you have incentive to do your job well during your year-long tour; bonuses are based on Company profits.
The sudden death of one of your colleagues has thrown a wrench into the orderly process of life in the outpost. Off-planet assistance is months away. The locals - that is, you - will have to sort this out.
