- Folks of the Night -
As the creatures of the day fall into a deep deep slumber, the sons and daughters of the darkness creeped out from the edge of the light. The moon gives them the light she harvested from the sun and provided them the path that they need to venture through. As the night rose, and the day fell, the Folks of the Night rule the twilight path.
♦ Welcome, fellow folk.
It’s dark outside.
You opened the door of the chapel, your eyes wander around the church’s grand halls. You stepped into the room, wide and dusty like how you expected it to be. The angels up on the chapel’s walls stares back at you, the sorrowful face of the Man on the cross that’s hanged up above the pulpit brought a gentle spark of sorrow inside your soul. You shook your head and continued walking ahead. You could hear your footsteps echo across the room and back to your ears. There’s no other sound than your steps and the sound of your breathing, everything else is silent, painfully silent.
You reached the stage of the church. The wood below creaked as you stepped on it. You stood still right in the middle of the stage before the pulpit. You took a deep breath. You heard a clang from afar, then noisy clockwork and iron wheels scritching on each other, it made you cringe. It ended soon enough before the noises hurt your eardrums. And a portion of the wall behind the pulpit sank and slid away, revealing an opening that leads into a pitch black. . . Hall? You couldn’t make out or see what’s in there. To your surprise, a young man with hair black as ink and skin pale as snow, he stepped out of the dark opening into the dimly-lit chapel.
“Ever heard of the three guys who got thrown into a stove?” He rested his hands on the pulpit, gazing at you with a small and friendly smile. You tilted your head at his question, but it sounded familiar does it? The man chuckled, giving you a little glance at his fangs, “ah, pardon. I don’t need to keep this newcomer with my odd introduction do I? Hm. The name is Abednego, the co-leader of Folks of the Night. I see you are interested in joining.”
You nod, Abednego’s smile grew wider. “Say, before you get to the questions or anything, are you a werewolf or a vampire?” You blurted out the answers, the man nodded and tapped the pen he kept in his suit’s pocket on the wooden pulpit. “That’s cool. I guess you’re okay enough to join the folk.” You raised an eyebrow and muttered in confusion about Abednego not asking any other questions or explaining more about the Folks of the Night. He blinked once or twice and shook his head. “I think you got everything you needed to know and I got everything I needed to know. In fact, I knew everything about you before you even stepped in here. So, come on.” He walked into the dark opening, disappearing into the darkness. In oblivion, you followed him. Almost slipping, you realized it was a staircase. You sighed as the pitch black consumed you and you went lower, and lower, and lower.
The wall behind you shut with a clang.
Actual Description
I’m sorry
Oh hey hello and I see that you are checking on this game and I bet you are wondering what it’s about or maybe not. So basically the story is your character joined this group of vampires and werewolves called Folks of the Night where you hunt down creatures for the Saints while running away from the human hunters or priests or whatever, protect their members and watch them grow, keep the werewolves and vampires from killing each other and everyone etc. The Saints is another group just like the Folks but much cult-like. But this time, the Folks went on to investigate a mystery a member just revealed. They venture into the forest to seek the answers while finding much more mysteries around the block.
I might make more games with the FOTN setting because the mysteries and plot could vary.
