After the virus swept over, taking out whole cities overnight, the world was thrown into chaos. The worries of the New World aren’t about radiation or starvation. Resources aren’t particularly scarce, yet.
No, the main concern in the world now is loneliness.
The madness that has started plaguing people when they are left as the sole survivor in a once thousands-populated city. The silent emptiness of the world has become a serious threat to mankind’s sanity. And that’s only the start of the new problems..
Fernweh follows the cast as they travel the New World, encountering strangers and pressing on against all odds. In the wake of the virus, things are changing. Different people with different ideals are fighting tooth and nail to be the loudest voice in the chaos. New governments and ideals are rising up, and with the scarce population humanity might not fully survive a new war.
Times are changing, and as is steadily becoming clear, there’s something much bigger than arguments of order and faith afoot.
Set in the world of the story, Fernweh.
