They lived normal lives, in a normal city. They attended a normal college, and so they would have continued down their normal, everyday paths through adulthood; through birth, life, and eventually death.
Or so it would have been, if not for a single flaw.
Just as a minute crack in a ceiling goes unnoticed until it is too large to ignore, so too was this man’s flaw. He saw them, he saw them living their blissful and ignorant lives, and he was envious. Envy had driven him to sin before, and again envy set his hands.

“That’s quite alright, but I’m sure you also wish to escape.”
“I’ll give you one week.”

“Destroy…!”
“Fight…!”
“Kill…!”
“Rid yourselves of weakness.”
“And once the most sinful individual is dead, the rest of you will be free to go.”
“I have left …hints, if you will, to guide you to our destination.”
“Remember, all that lies ahead is ruin; you may praise me for preparing you for the end!”
“HAHAHAHA…!”
And the man with violet eyes simply vanished, his laughter echoing in the empty room.
[You, and several others, have been kidnapped from your normal lives, and taken to a perfect white room, with no windows, doors, or other exits. The walls are solid and without faults. From the time you awake in this room, you notice your basic living needs have disappeared - you no longer feel thirsty, hungry, or the urge to use the bathroom. A man with violet eyes and silver hair appears and outlines the conditions for regaining your freedom, then vanishes somehow - even though the room has no doors nor windows. There is an average-sized crate off to the side of the room.
You may choose to obey his cryptic words or to defy the strange individual, but what awaits you at the end of the week? You look around at the others in the room, and you…]
