Vampires. Werewolves. Ghosts. Stranger, more dangerous creatures, defying understanding and classification. For centuries, mankind has feared, hunted, and killed these ‘Accursed’ souls, deeming all such supernatural entities to be monsters fit only to be destroyed.
Thirty years ago, one man had a different idea: a place of study and research, an academy of higher learning where those unfortunately afflicted with supernatural maladies could learn ways to integrate into society, where they could be studied and treated in hopes of finding a path to co-exist. Thus the Institute for the Study and Treatment of the Accursed was founded.
In the decades since, the Institute has collected a wide variety of surreal students, gathered in a remodeled island castle in the middle of the ocean. It is both a place of dark experiments which make people question their own humanity and of wacky, mischievous hi-jinks of the sort that too many young people in one place tend to get up to.
New students are being brought all the time. Will they go mad from the dark secrets housed in the Institute? Will they master their own terrible powers? Will they get dates to the prom? Only time will tell.
