Setting: Star Wars, early fall of the Empire era.
Tone: ‘Realistic’ space opera with a dash of epicness.
Number of players: Max 5.
Player roles: Members of the Rebellion.
Fall of the Empire is a Star Wars universe game based literally days after the Battle of Endor and the death of Palpatine. The Rebels have made massive strides to bring down the Imperials; however, pockets loyal to the Empire remain. These pockets are either in retreat or standing their ground to take down the Rebel threat.
In this half of the game, you will play members of a band of Rebels. Setting up alternative governments, liberating people, and finding ways to create stability in a vastly changing galaxy, your goal is to rescue those that had lived under such a repressive regime.
//// Narrator Notes:
Alright, so here’s the skinny, I’m hoping to run two of the same game from two different angles. In one game people will play Rebels at the fall of the Empire. In the other people will play Imperials at the same time.
These games should, theoretically, influence each other. In many respects this is an experiment on my part. I liked both angles and thought I could give you each something to play with/work with.
This means you can only be in ONE of the two games.
Please note there is no posting expectations, however, this also means that as the narrator, if I’m so inclined, I still will move things along if you are taking too long. I will try not to take huge liberties with your characters.
My friends have described me as an Old Testament narrator. I don’t put up with comment-bullying, complaining, or nagging, and I have no qualms about offing a character if it’s justified or booting you from the game if you’re being disrespectful. This is for fun and I want everyone involved to have it. Fun, that is. Not necessarily biting it.
I’m not keen on players using my NPCs in their poses and players shouldn’t pose other players without explicit permission.
//// Playing Style:
As far as posting is concerned, I’d like to observe the three post rule. That is you can post if three people have posted between you. I may post more often if things are required to move things along, and I will add a comment to that effect, inviting you all to continue.
I strongly believe every player should only play one card at a time. While it’s okay in some circumstances to lay two, it’s also really hard on your fellow players as well as the narrator as they’ve come up with obstacles to give all of the characters things to do.
I like long poses (there is no word limit), but not for the sake of length over quality.
If necessary I will narrate canon characters as needed, otherwise we will be a place for original characters. You are the heroes of this story. So go be BIG DAMN HEROES.
Last, I have a vague idea of where we’re going and what I’d like to do, but as players, you can change the direction of the story.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Star Wars or anything related. It belongs to Lucas Arts and Disney.
