Year 2315. Interplanetary war between empire and republic has ended and empire was overthrown. All empire planets became fringe words when all business moved to the core republic planets. On those empire planets, people have to fight over food, resources and whatever technology they have is expensive and restricted. Few people can afford to have their own ship. But those who do enjoy the freedom of space which it offers.
You are one of those people. Boarding old, rusty, Freedom class transport shop “Eternity”, which is being hardly flown by anyone with any standards. But not you. You love that old, breaking ship.
And what you do in space? Who knows, stealing, smuggling, transporting, human smuggling, anything that will pay the bill and will not hurt simple folk. In the heart, you (or at least most of you) are good people. Just less, let’s say, morally constrained.
