The Galactic war has ended… The resistance has failed, and barely a handful of systems remain free of the tyranny of the Grand Hive. The last most prodigious these fell nearly 2 span (About 600 Days) ago, and with it nearly every hope of defeating he Hive Queen. Or so I was believed…
The Synex ship ‘Valor’ has been in hiding, secretly searching for champions who might could push back the tyranny wrought across the black by the Grand Hive… The ancient tombs told of a genetic code, called the Apex code, which was seeded through out the Galaxy, before the first of the modern races crawled out of the muck. It has been The Valor’s singular quest to discover the legacy of that seeding, and if possible raise those who hold the gene, as weapons against the hive mind.
That’s… where you come in.
Perhaps you were a New York stock broker, or a massage therapist from San Bernardino. Perhaps you are just a high school student, a pick pocket, or a streetwalker. All in all, it really doesn’t matter because on that fateful day you were transported from your mundane, everyday existence, to be forged into a hero of unbelievable proportions. You found yourself within the hold of strange ship populated by strange alien beings, and controlled by what seems to be a fully sentient computer, named… Valor.
It is revealed to you that the Earth, and indeed the whole of the free galaxy is in grave danger. The story seems insane, but what is clear… everyone needs you.

Welcome to my mad fantasy. Echoes: Apex War is a game of ‘Unwitting Humans’ elevated to he class of Apex, and given super human abilities, in the hopes of defeating the Tyrannous Hive mind, and restoring freedom and hope to the galaxy.
As a player you’ll take on the role of an everyday Joe, abducted by aliens and given super powers with which to fight the alien menace. Your task isn’t to save humanity… this is but one, of a billion habitable worlds that face the tyranny of the Hive Queen. You task is to save the galaxy… protect the innocent, and restore freedom to the countless worlds now under the rule of the Hive.
The fate of a thousand words are in your hands… will you use your powers to keep the universe… and our mother earth safe?

Quick note about powers:
Don’t bother classifying your power as a Strength, or within your nature. Instead give me a blurb about the power the character possesses as part of his background/description. I will give feedback on what I see, but know. I won’t entertain characters who are built to be indestructible, or omniscient… at least right off the bat. The character should have one or two powers at most, and they should be balanced. I won’t entertain the likes of “Dr. Manhattan”, “The Beyonder”, “Magneto”, “Professor X”, “Phoenix”, “Superman”, or “Thor”.
