With a click, the training video turns on.
Congratulations! You’re a Dispatcher! The true lifeblood of SDN. Because you can’t spell SDN without the D and you’re as D as they come! Dutiful, diligent, and most importantly, decisive.
I am Silver Archer, your Hero Representative for Superhero Dispatch Network’s New York City branch. And I will be guiding you through how things work here.
Your work as a dispatcher is one of the most important things to maintaining a functioning system to keeping our city safe. You will manage a team of heroes, field calls from our citizen subscribers in need and dispatch those heroes accordingly to fulfil these calls. You will be some of the most important components to keeping the machine running.
One thing that makes the New York City office different to many others around the country is that due to our city’s nature as a metropolitan centre, we often have several dispatcher to one team, both to help the field the large volume of calls we receive, but also to be able to organise large-scale heroic operations.
This will be all for your introductory video, future dispatchers, and I hope to see you in the next one!
The video ends, then another is selected and played. Judging by the graphic quality, it appears to be newer.
Good morning, afternoon, evening or night, dispatchers. I am Rose Dragon, your Hero Representative for Superhero Dispatch Network’s New York City branch. This training video is intended for the dispatchers selected to manage our Phoenix Program team.
The Phoenix Program is a special rehabilitation program run here where conscripted criminals, anti-heroes, and vigilantes can sign up to help out our SDN subscribers in the hopes of becoming heroes or otherwise redeeming themselves.
It has been run with great success already at many of our national and global locations, but this is the first time it will be implemented in such a large office as NYC.
You have been chosen as one of the dispatchers handling this team. Thank you for volunteering your time and effort. This team is very different to our other teams, and as a result will require a lot more emotional labour. But, of course, it won’t be wasted. We at SDN believe in rehabilitation above all, and that everyone can be a hero.
