This is an isekai story.
There are countless different kinds of isekai overpowered power fantasies, slow-life slice-of-life stories, dark and brutal survival tales, monster reincarnations, political intrigue, villainess plots, and everything in between. Because of that, I’m not locking this game into one specific subgenre.
Instead, I’m focusing on the world of Deviara and the core concept of the Wrongborn and the Sealed Engine. I’ll do my best to tailor the tone, direction, and events of the story to the characters who join and the kind of experience you want to have together.
In the world of Deviara, something sealed in the deep places is beginning to stir.
Long ago, a primordial force known as the Engine helped shape the laws of existence itself. It was locked away because its power was too absolute. Now the seal is failing. Reality softens in places. Old rules grow uncertain. And during one of these ruptures, a handful of souls from another world were violently dragged across and reborn.
You are one of the Wrongborn.
You remember your life on Earth. You carry a fragment of the Engine that clung to you during the crossing a power that should not exist. The world does not know what to make of you. Some will try to claim you. Others will try to erase you. Something beneath the surface is pushing harder every day.
This is a short, focused story about what happens when people who were never meant to exist are forced to decide what they will become.
