The storyline follows alternate timeline of 1980’s as if the world conflict reached a boiling point. The concept focuses on the possible outcome of it by declaring a WWIII with a catastrophic nuclear solution to it.
As the first bombs fell, people ran… Abandoning their homes to escape the devastation. Millions have fallen, but some did found a distant retreat in a lost valley far from the all-consuming fire of war… A place so distant from civilization, that the world around seemed to have ceased to exist at all…
Bordered by enormous mountains, this paradise astonished the exhausted pioneers with its vast expanses, marvelous forested landscapes, a rich flora and fauna. The natural beauty of this place was never touched by a man. Due fact they arrived in the middle of a mild fog shrouding the virgin beauty with its transparent cloak, the initial picture seemed bleak, so they named it Grayfolk Valley.
As they settled down in the middle of a forest, they established a brand new colony, a cradle of mankind, in a heart of a prosperous nature…
While grieving for the fate of the world, these people were greatly encouraged by the fact they managed to survive and unite in a promised land of new life, they worked untiringly and relentlessly to build a city of rapture, a city of hope, a city of rebirth…
As time marched on, the brightest minds among these few thousands, whenether they were engineers, scientists or artists, have contributed their best to the prosperity of the town of Grayfolk. Now this was an industrial town amidst the green vastness of the grand valley. Having established municipal services, built a railroad, tamed the wild, the citizens of Grayfolk remained oblivious to the fate of the outside world, while living in this blossoming paradise. Until one day…
Grayfolk town lacked resources to condition itself, so it occasional sent out scouting teams to probe the undiscovered sources that might have been scattered across the valley. Once, as the team returned with the promised resources, the town was left devoid of any life, as if it was never inhabited…
The desperate team, shocked by this fact, has since scattered and was never seen alongside again…
Now, Grayfolk is a place known to contain a true, yet usually a dormant essence of evil, occasionally warping into it’s realm, inhabited by grotesque creatures and abominable manifestations of one’s fear. It’s prisoners will need to choose whenether they would like to cooperate and find a path; to dispose of the others and free themselves; or to embrace their sin and try to conquer realm’s power to rule it. Whenether you desire salvation, or you are simply homecoming - The choice is yours.

Dementia Banners is philosophic exploration of man’s anthropomorphic limitations conceptually being inspired after Silent Hill initial concept.
While the story revolves around surreal horror, featuring an important survival role in it, i intend to switch the pace to a more intense thriller experience, while still maitaining a flavor of Silent Hill’s suspense.
I am looking for a 5-9 cast of enthusiastic writers, willing to collaborate and elaborate the story.
Your character creation is not bound by anything, althrough i am willing to provide you with valuable tips: your character would have to fit into timeline accordingly, with the current technology breakdown, post-apocayptic setting. You may be of any nature, given it is neither supernatural, nor absurd. The only feat you should consider is that you should not be a Grayfolk native.
Laws of the realms are merciless towards those who disagrees to follow:
Warping realms: from a suspense to a grinding terror
Scarce utility tools and hardly accessible provision to survive the conditions
While the colony may seem abandoned by its population, it is not uninhabited…
The entities and presence that lives in it does hungers for you, so be wary of both physical confrontations and mind games realm plays on you.
The storyline details, concerning the setting/entities/characters/etc. would be revealed as the story develops, with such mechanic being a part of the walkthrough experience, so hopefully you’ll be eager to pay attention towards details i will submit :)
Lastly: upon writing a background description for your character, consider the following: The initial scene of your appearance will feature an awakening in the outskirts of the town, where your character will lack memory of him getting to this point.
