Every child is taught three things.
One, your true name is to be hidden at all costs.
Two, no amount of power or money should ever tempt you into signing a deal.
And Three, under no circumstances do you become a demon hunter.
This world has long been overrun by demons, who leverage their magical might to tempt humans into giving up their souls for anything they desire. But just as long as those monsters have plagued the earth, there have been demon hunters: humans either brave enough or foolish enough to go against these demons. It has never been an occupation with a long lifespan for those who undertake it.
However, a few days ago, a rumor began spreading that Elegy, one of the country’s most feared demon hunters, was creating a new team. One with a brand new strategy that promised a higher survival rate: defeating demons by exploiting loopholes and faults in their own deals. It almost sounds too good to be true.
For some reason or the other though, you decide to take these rumors seriously and find Elegy, and for some reason, he accepts your help.
Welcome to the Dealbreakers, dear hunter.
“Let’s hope you last.”
