You are undead, marked by the dark sign.
You are a being that can not die, but you are slowly losing what makes you human. First your body will start to fall apart, then your memories, and lastly you will go hollow. Once a man goes hollow there is no return for them, everyone becomes a foe and every action is done in the hopes to devour the souls of others. When did you turn, where did you come from, who did you once know. The questions repeat in your mind but are never answered.
You are feared, and so you are pushed to the far reaches of civilization.
They yelled at you when they threw you in the cart, they yelled such horrible things. People with faces you can’t remember, they seem to be melting away in your mind. You passed through many a land to reach here, wherever here is. Each time the cart on which your cage was on would stop, and each time another was added. Others like you.
You are free, but forever I imprisoned.
The cart had gone off the road, something happened to the driver. The ground was cold, snow covered. Still you were trapped, the cages iron bar refusing to release you. The Blind Pilgrim came, they found your plight funny. Then she freed you, pillaged the keys from the driver.
“Thou who art Undead, art chosen…
… let us maketh pilgrimage the Undead Asylum… Perhaps the fate of the Undead we shall find…”
You thought you go hollow, but purpose may keep you from your fate. At Least while you have hope.
