It’s a dark night and you can hear things going thump.
clank. clank. clank
You dress to go outside. On your porch you can hear the noise more clearly.
Clank. Clank. Clank
A deep rich sound of wood being broken. Then, all at once you remember the circus is coming to town. They must have just gotten in and are setting up. It doesn’t strike you as odd that they are building during the wee hours of the morning. And the sound of the Ferris wheel excites you. You just hope this storm can lay off long enough for you to get all the rides in you desire.

My goal is to have this be based somewhat on the excellent novel of Ray Bradbury, Something Wicked This Way Comes. If you haven’t read the book, think dark circus filled with strange bad things. The circus has just come to town and all of you would like to go, it is not until you are there that you realize everything isn’t as it seems. I’m probably going to be pretty brutal to the characters that decide to join, so keep that in mind.
Feel free to make your own cards and get and interesting back ground. I am going for somewhat horror–so being able to use your characters fears and weakness against him is important.
I will be leaving this open for a bit for people to submit characters. Try to think of ones that would fit well with the theme and I will pick in several days.
