Life is a difficult thing. Wouldn’t a wish be nice? It could be any wish. Bring back a loved one. Rule the world. It doesn’t matter to me. But to get your wish you have to play my game. And a game with such a fantastic prize has certain risks involved for the losers.
Just remember: No cheating and no telling!
You will play a character that wants something. It could be anything, but your strong desire is what attracted the Game Master to you. Now when your character sleeps they don’t enter the dreamworld they enter the Game Master’s Arena. And now you only have two choices: pass or play. Because once you’ve entered the Game Master’s world it won’t let you go until the game is finished. But both passing and playing have costs and the rewards and penalties in the Arena can effect the waking world.
Your character will represent one of the 22 Major Arcana (excluding Death). This will be your nature card. The card that you choose will influence abilities that you can gain in game, as well as your name in the game, so choose carefully. Your character will automatically know their name upon entering the Arena.
And because secrecy is important to the game we will ask that you use a mask as the picture for your nature card, because this will be the mask that your character wears each time they enter the Arena. It is up to your characters if they want to reveal their true identities, but can you really trust the other players?
Your bio should be a short description of who your character is. We ask that they all live in New York City though (the City That Never Sleeps) for ease of use in the waking world.
You can either put your wish as your goal card, or you can keep it secret and put it in the comments, but make sure that we know what it is.
