The Prometheus has spend centuries adrift in the endless vastness of space en route to humanities new home. After a malfunction with the cryosystems the custodians, half humans, half machines solely dedicated to the proper functioning of the ship awoke the future colonists almost 2 centuries before arrival.
After generations spend in space, earth has become little more than a story of the past and with even the most crucial of stockpiles arriving at critical levels the Prometheus reached its destination. A new world, a new home. But not all was as it was supposed to be.
Arriving in orbit of Ceta Secundus the custodians tried to establish contact with the forward base, but received no answer from the purple world drifting beneath it. According to schedule this world should have had a small forward base already established for the almost ten thousand souls aboard the Prometheus.
With no alternative the colonization proceeded despite that. The settlers soon began to build homes for themself and by relying on the technological marvels brought with them began to spread. Some people took heed of the past and tried their best to life in concert with this new planet, seeing as history books explained that Earth was close to uninhabitable after wanton exploitation of its natural ressources. Others chose to stick as close as possible to the past, some turned to religion, others to science. As such the colonists overcame the past boundaries of nations, only to split along ideological differences.
Now with the first generation of children born on this planet reaching adulthood and having gained atleast a basic foothold it is time to explore this new alien world. Where do the phenomenon noticed in some children come from? What happened to the lost forward base? Is the forest truly alife as some colonists on the fringes claim?
