The Mnemosyne Fleet is described as “an artist colony with too much money” but that does it a disservice. Named after the muses, each mobile colony spaceship is teeming with patrons of the arts and sciences, working in tandem to simply create. The goal of the fleet is to spread humanity’s boundless imagination throughout the galaxy.
But that which waits in the darkness between stars notices the fleet. It secretly spreads its chaotic influence through the minds of the colonists. Those that hear the dissonant whispering either go mad or join its cacophony with malicious intent.
There is a force that is set on destroying this influence, but it has only just found the fleet. Now it needs to find the right kind of humans to wield the weapons it brings …
… but you wouldn’t know anything about all of that, would you?
You are a student at the university on Euterpe, the colony ship renowned for its music. You may be there for musical education, or one of the other many other majors it offers. You could be from Euterpe or one of the other colony ships. Or maybe you’re a military brat, calling the myriad of support ships home. Either way, you end up at a co-ed dormitory with five other first year students.
And you have absolutely no idea that you are destined to be part of a magically-empowered team of heroes saving humanity from eldritch forces.
This game is a light sci-fi/fantasy adventure using Magical Girl, Sentai, and Space Opera tropes. Think Sailor Moon meets Macross (sans mecha) meets Lovecraft. Heavy anime/manga influence. Not 18+, but expectation to have adult situations.
