Founded in 1883 as mining camp by the Carver Mining Company this boom town flourished due to the abundance of high woodlands, plentiful game, and abundant mountain lakes and streams kept the town alive after the mine closed in 1912
Settled high in the Rockies, Carver Heights seems to be your typical small country town with a booming hunting, fishing, and hiking tourist industry.
But of course, looks are deceiving..
The town is a supernatural hotspot with a Werewolf clan living in the woods who consider trespassers fair game, ghosts that seem to be drawn to the place, and something menacing living in the old mine that just feels evil.
The players will make up a cabal of wizards, monster-hunters, and spirit allies working with the Ordo Aegis: An organization dedicated to keeping the supernatural hidden from humanity at large. They must use their skills and abilities incognito as they stop That Which Goes Bump In The Night from running roughshod over the town.
The Ordo Aegis
The Order of the Shield has it’s origins in the Great Inquisition, but has long since cut ties with the Catholic church. It’s mission is to control and contain paranormal events and beings and protect humanity at large from exposure to them.
Cabals operate like cells, working independently on orders from on high. Few cell members know people from other cells in order to maintain security. Communications are kept through handlers referred to as Archmagi who pass orders and intel back and forth, reporting to a mysterious Senior Council.
This will be a game about being subtle while fighting the forces of darkness.. or maybe just the forces that want to eat people.
