Washington D.C. –
It has been 7 long years since the end of the Great War. That is not to worry however, since that war ended others have propped up in its place. The Cold War, the Korean War, hell even the Red Scare here at home. There’s a lot to keep a man busy.
While many call New York City the city that never sleeps, Washington D.C. is the city that never stops. Whatever your flavor may be, politics, crime, money and fame all can be had in this city. One wonders in fact how ironic it really is that politicians and street thugs seem to keep the same hours these days, way to late at night.
In a city like Washington DC, there are jobs that are best carried out by men in suits, some that should be done by the official sorts. But when those kind can’t – or won’t – get the job done, that is when they call on the Private Detectives.
Dicks, PI’s, Gumshoes… the name all means the same. War Vets, old Cops, or simply those that have lived in the city long enough to know how it works. People who have the connections, intuition, and know how to get a job done. With this much power, this much money floating around you can make some powerful friends. But you can also make some damn powerful enemies as well.
Capitol Punishment is a classic noir set in Washington D.C. during the August of 1952. At present it is an invite only story but as the story expands we will be looking at bringing in new participants.
