Preternatural and fantastical abilities have just started to appear in the world. Those with these abilities are a small minority of the population, but one that could change the world.
The how and the why is unknown but they’ve begun to clump in and around Boston, an old city with many dark secrets hiding in the shadows.
We’re looking for a small group of characters that are just learning to use their abilities in a world that doesn’t understand them.
The world at large doesn’t know about people with powers, but certain government groups that pay attention to the strange and the unique have their suspicions and are itching to find examples to study. They want to better control what they do not understand yet. In a post-9/11 world, what is not understood is often assumed to be a threat and treated that way.
Boston is much like the Boston of today, but darker. With a crime problem that would rival that of much larger cities. There are rival criminal groups that are each trying to take over different pieces of the pie. And with budget cuts, the police are overwhelmed and fighting a losing battle where the best they can do is to protect the areas that they can.
NOTE: Thank you very much for your patience. Was able to sit up and get on the computer today which was nice. Reviewed all the characters. Will be selecting a small group of characters by the end of the next week and then the game will begin.
