Based on the indie tabletop roleplaying game Astonishing Swordsmen and Sorcerers of Hyperborea, (though knowledge of the source material is by no means required), this campaign will take its players on a journey across a world of weird science fantasy, cosmic horror, and epic adventure.
The setting of Hyperborea, a flat planetoid between Jupiter and Saturn, is a mélange of and homage to the pulp fantasy authors of the 20th century, including Clark Ashton Smith, H.P. Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard, Fritz Leiber, Jack Vance, Michael Moorcock and others.
As for the story, it has yet to be decided, but will draw on the backstories of each character as well as the input of the players themselves.
