This is High School, the best years of your life.
Or maybe not.
Somehow you thought it would be so much cooler. Like all of the TV shows, you and your friends would morph into cooler, hipper versions of yourselves. Or if there were bullies, you’d learn life lessons about how their lives were so much harder than yours and you’d all secretly bond, in an awesome way. Or at the very least, class would be a transitional event between more important things, instead of taking up so much time.
Instead high school is like middle school, except the bullies are bigger and more people offer you pot. You’ve got to compete for your place in a wolf pack, while adults drone on at you about the best possible college and making the ‘right’ choices, like any of them ever knew what those were.
But you’ve got your friends around you and that person you like is finally starting to look your way, just as your acne is starting to clear up. And this could be the year you finally convince your parents you do need a car.
These may not be the best years of your life, but they could be the most exciting!
Some notes-
-This is the high school of teen movies and tv shows, not the high school of real life. It mirrors most strongly on shows like Glee and Degrassi. It is NOT a supernatural high school, magical high school or horror high school (not that those aren’t awesome as well).
-This is rolling admissions! We will never close and people should make as many characters as they like. The game will only be better for more people. And please please please create your own Natures, Strengths and Weaknesses–the starter ones are very generic. Characters can be freshmen and up.
-Following on that, there is no plot! While there will be challenges and events aplenty, most of the drama will be character-focused and very soap opery.
-Last but not least, the game should be fun. I’m playing with the limits of Storium and I created this game to be completely casual, so just enjoy it!
