Even in times of so-called peace, the borderlands are never entirely settled. The Vidarisi are a fractious people, and many still view the goblin nation of Kotemah with a healthy dose of suspicion and resentment, even without any provocation.
So, if anything does go wrong, it stands to reason that the goblins will be blamed.
When several people go missing from the border village of Fintira in the course of a single week, it’s obvious that some sort of evil is at work. An evil that, in the eyes of the villagers, could only have come from Valpas, the nearby goblin settlement.
Cool heads have prevailed thus far, and no one has yet launched any foolish attacks on Valpas. But, after the latest disappearance, that might be about to change…
